During this time my group and I have been doing all our group work towards the planning of our final project (documentary). All of our research and planning is now completed and on our blogs. We have have researched documentarians and styles of documentaries, also planned what our documentary would be about and include, we also started filming and editing our documentary. We have completed storyboards, planned scripts, emailed our interviewees and auditioned for our documentarian.

Questionnaire results and analysis.







In order to to get an idea of what would be most successful we created  questionnaire containing questions relevant to our documentary. In order to send it out to our target audience we shared on our facebook profiles and encouraged friends to complete it. 

Shot list.

We will use many different camera angles including:


Panning shot:
We will use this shot so we can show more of the church also because it sets the scene.





Establishing shot:
We will use this to set the overall scene for the documentary.

Mid shot:
We will use this in our interviews to show the interviewee and a bit of the background to create a setting that the audience will then relate to the interviewee.






Close up:
We will use then when we are filming the montages so you can just see the interviewees face.





Extreme close up:
We will use this during interviews to add more to the interview, so that it is not just one long continuouse camera angle that may bore the audience.



Slow motion:
We will use this to add more technical aspects to our documentary, also to emphasize a point that we might be making at the time.


Zoom in/out:
This will be used to either focus in on a point or to add more to the shot.

Interview styles and formats.


Auditions and interviews.




We interviewed many people to be our main documentarian (as seen above in the video). We came to the conclusion that Emily would be the best option for the documentarian as she is enthusiastic, confident and has a direct link to the subject matter. However we have Sophie on stand by and did an interview audition for her so that we can use her in the future if we have any problems or issues with the first documentarian we chose.
