Music choices and permission email.

The tracks by singer 'Birdy' are 'Tee Shirt' and 'Skinny Love'. We like the idea of using these songs as they are soft and mellow, gentle and would provide the uplifting atmosphere we want.
I emailed her manager to ask for permission. I sent this email multiple times, unfortunately i did not get a response.

We emailed the managers of the artists Lenka to ask permission to se her song, we emailed three times but ave still had no luck with a response.
We want to use her music (specifically her song "the show") as it is fast paced and upbeat and would fit
really well with the mood we are trying to create in the audience for our documentary.

For our documentary we are required to provide a non diegetic soundtrack. This of course will need to be suitable for our subject matter of Mormons and create the type of atmosphere
Tom Odell
The tracks that we are interested in using are by singer Tom Odell. These are 'Another Love' and 'Real Love'. We feel that these would interconnect with our documentary well, as they are soothing and gentle songs.

Unfortunately we have not had a response yet.

We emailed an artist named Lindsey Stirling, she is a female violinist who is also a full time Mormon so using her music would work perfectly in our documentary. Unfortunately we haven't had a response but we have tried emailing to three to three of her accounts (facebook page, website, email) and hopefully we will get a response as her music would really fit in with the documentary mood.

We want to use her music a it suits the "feel" of our documentary and will hopefully make the audience feel happy and create a good vibe about our subject matter.

UPDATE:

We had a response from Lindsey's assistant giving us permission to use her music.

We emailed the band Van Susans to ask to use their music in our documentary and we were lucky enough to get a response straight away so we can now use their music.

We wanted to use their music as most of their songs are up beat and catchy so would create the right atmosphere in our documentary.
